구미시 시민참여 공공서비스디자인 워크숍 사례와 의의 연구

초록

In order to respond to the changing environment of the times, such as technological development and social development, the paradigm of public service administration is changing. In particular, in establishing local public policies, a bottom-up approach in which citizens directly participate is needed, rather than the bureaucratic top-down approach of the past. Accordingly, this study aims to conduct a citizen participation workshop utilizing public service design programs and methodology and to examine its significance. The research method and contents are as follows. First, a theoretical review of public policy, citizen participation, and public service design is conducted through prior research. Second, a public service design program is designed using the double diamond model and service design methodology. Third, a citizen participation public service design workshop that suggests and utilizes a methodology in which citizens can participate is conducted and its significance is examined. In this way, a citizen participation public service design workshop in which citizens propose policy ideas is significant in that it can increase the effectiveness of policies, citizens’ efficacy, understanding of policies, interest, and attachment to policies.
