초록

SpaceWire is a data-handling network used in spacecraft systems to efficiently interconnect instruments, large-scale memory, processors, downlink telemetry and other onboard subsystems. SpaceWire features characteristics well-suited for space data processing applications, such as simple implementation, high speed, low power consumption, low implementation cost and flexible architecture, making it ideal for various space missions. In particular, SpaceWire utilizes Wormhole switching at the network level, which reduces router buffer sizes while improving the efficiency and reliability of data transmission. However, Wormhole switching can cause packet blocking, leading to transmission delays, which can have critical implications for real-time communications in Low Earth Orbit(LEO) satellite networks. In this paper, we configure a SpaceWire network using actual hardware and conduct experiments on packet blocking and non-blocking routing. We analyze packet blocking characteristics and throughput for different packet sizes, and based on this analysis, we determine the optimal packet size for achieving maximum throughput.
